1. Who We Are
Smplii operates the Smplii Pilot application, a post-discharge care assistance tool available at pilot.smplii.com. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Smplii.

2. Not a HIPAA-Covered Service
Smplii Pilot is a pilot-stage consumer wellness tool. It is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Information you enter into the app is not treated as Protected Health Information under federal law. Do not use this app as a substitute for communication with your healthcare provider.

4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the features of the Smplii Pilot app
- To send authentication messages to your phone or email (see Section 6)
- To generate care summaries you choose to share with your care team
- To improve the product using de-identified, aggregated data
5. How We Share Your Information
We share data only with the following service providers, for the purposes described:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Twilio — SMS delivery for one-time verification codes
- Resend — email delivery for account verification and caregiver invitations
- ElevenLabs — AI voice agent (patient-facing interactions)
We do not share identifiable data with any other third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.
6. SMS Messaging
We use SMS to send one-time verification codes when you sign in to the app. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your sign-in activity.
To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any message from us. To get help, reply HELP. Opting out of SMS will prevent you from receiving verification codes and may limit your ability to use the app.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and care data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@smplii.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Security
We use TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Authentication is handled via one-time codes — there are no passwords. Session tokens expire after ten days.
9. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account
- Withdraw from the pilot

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
